Greg acquired his skills at the Complexions International School of Makeup in Toronto; learning all aspects of makeup techniques including skin types and textures, layering, mediums and formulas. Greg then went to Miami to assist artistic legend Laura Mercier. Mercier exposed him to the idea of painting with his brushes rather than the typical paint-by-numbers application. He then made his move to New York where he worked for several makeup institutions such as Chanel, Stila, and NARS. While working at the Chanel Flagship store he collaborated with Karl Largerfeld on his New York collection manifesting the designer’s idea of refinement and class – it was then that Greg’s talent became recognized as a vision.
Shortly thereafter, Greg left Chanel to pursue his career and build his name by working with some of fashion’s driving photographic forces: Sebastian Kim, Greg Lotus, Mario Sorrenti, Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca, Terry Richardson, and Albert Watson. His editorial work with these image-maker’s has brought designers and advertisers to call on his talents, leading him to join forces with the likes of Tom Ford. Greg now splits his time between his hometown of Toronto and New York.
Greg’s artistry has made Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Esposito, Tom Ford, Thom Brown, Sia, Roisin Murphy, Hugh Dancy, Adele, Michael Pitt, Elettra Wiedemann, and Amy Sedaris, look their best.
Thank you, Greg, for sharing your artistry with us.
