From the French acronym ‘bon chic, bon genre,’ meaning good style, good class, Max Azria’s motto was certainly demonstrated through his fabulous fall collection. The French bred designer has created a remarkable profile of euphoric colours and mastered lines to elucidate a woman’s true potential. The warm walls filled with immaculate fabrics draw your eyes toward the endless racks of beautiful designs. As you glance around, there is one gown your legs seem to pace towards. A glamorous snow white dress with detailed crystals and architectural cut outs, the contours designed perfectly to hug your body. It’s quite liberating in fact, placing you in a whole new social level. This years BCBG fall collection models many idyllic silhouettes and structured contours. The lavish designs use an array of fabrics from soft ivory satins to a very 80’s era of disco metallics. Model Alexis Jean samples some striking dresses in the Yorkville location, experiencing the elegance and glamour accompanying many of Azria’s gowns. Nelson Gordon, host of Industry Insider, describes it as the ‘social butterfly’; the very foundation of Max Azria’s designs.
